Lafayette

Home to the extremely expansive Prophetstown State Park, Lafayette is the perfect refuge in nature just over an hour from Indianapolis. Spend the day riding horses, cycling, bird watching, or laying by the Wabash River in the park, followed by a spot of lunch at East End Grill, LOTSA Stone Fired Pizza, or Arni's Lafayette Market Square back in the middle of town. Alternatively, bring the kids to see the emus and wallabies at Columbian Park Zoo. Museum-goers will enjoy diverse offerings in town at the Tippecanoe Battlefield Museum or the Haan Mansion Museum of Indiana Art, home to the 1904 World Fair. Lafayette is also home to Purdue University, located west of downtown.
