Baytown

Less than 30 minutes from Houston and nestled on the shores of Tabbs Bay, Baytown is an excellent spot for vacations to the Gulf of Mexico. There are ample opportunities to rent boats for fishing in the Gulf or simply cruising along the shoreline with family or friends. Families will enjoy a day in the sun at Pirates Bay Water Park, featuring wild waterslides and a lazy river. Baytown is also the site of the historic San Jacinto Battleground and San Jacinto Museum of History. This small seaside town is known for its Tex-Mex cuisine, so make sure to grab a bite at Ricardo's Mexican Grill or La Sierra Tailgate, both located a short walk from the inlet running right through the middle of town.
